Growing & Harvesting

Between our West Grove and Oxford organic mushroom farms, Mother Earth Organic Mushrooms has a total of 53 growing rooms containing different varieties of mushrooms, including white button, baby bella (crimini), portabella, and a number of exotics, including shiitake, Oyster, Lion’s Mane, Royal Trumpet, and Pioppinos. The Mother Earth Organic Mushrooms team is educated on and dedicated to the importance of not only being organic, but also sustainable. Mother Earth Packing Process

  1. We deliver pallets of our hand-picked harvest to our packaging facility where they are immediately assigned a raw material lot code by our computer traceability system.
  2. All incoming products get vacuum cooled to ensure freshness and shelf life.
  3. The raw lot is deducted by pound from inventory and then each individual case is labeled to be PTI Compliant. This creates our finished product inventory, which can only be made from the raw products already set up in the system. This prevents non-organic, raw materials from being sold as an organic product – guaranteed!
  4. Our shipping department scans each case to fulfill customer orders. Each and every case is fully traceable back to the grower within about 5 minutes.
  5. Delivery sales orders are also system-generated, and show lot codes for each item sold.

Sales & Distribution

All Mother Earth sales offices are located at our Landenberg facilities, as well as our distribution facility. Our distribution team operates our own Mother Earth trucks servicing direct store deliveries and warehouses throughout Chester County, PA and the surrounding areas. We also partner with fully vetted, third-party carriers to keep our mushrooms on the move to regions that are farther out.

In-Store Retail Sales

The Mother Earth Organic Mushrooms Country Store in West Grove, PA is a place for the local Kennett Square and Chester County community to purchase our products as well as other locally sourced goods. Customers can purchase any of our packaged retail mushroom products, including fresh, dried, and exotics.
